Introduction

The new dates for the exams will be announced on 5th June 2020. So the exam would be in July.

Case 1: [Worst case scenario]
I have 1 month and 5 days to prepare. Spend the next 30 days finishing all the thematic tests. During these 30 days what all should you complete?
- Compass modules
- thematic tests
- refer to past tests to identify mistakes
- the standard books
- any notes you've made while 1st reading
- FOCUS magazines only after Compass to cover anything left
- QIP videos + making notes + revising the notes
- the MCQ videos uploaded on YouTube [current affairs + static oriented]

After the 30 days, for the remaining 10 days:
- FLT everyday
- 1st 6 days revision of 1 subject per day
- last 4 days revision of current affairs

Case 2:
The test is in mid-July, I will have an extra 10 days from case1. In those extra days:
- FLTs everyday
- re-revision of static 6 days and current affairs 4 days [combine and divide time accordingly]

Case 3:
Either last week of July or anytime in August. I have an extra 1 month from case 1.
- take FLTs once every 3 days
- make sure to do proper revision 2 more times of everything you've read
- practice map for optional, essay writing during weekends or on the day you take FLT

Any which way, the next 30 days is fixed:
What is your timetable for that?

Read for at least 10 hours every day. Once in a week - 14-hour challenge [preferably at the end of the week].
What do to daily compulsorily: DNS + paper = 1.5 hours [either morning or night]

30-day target:
1) Economy - you need 3 days
- 1 day to revise all units except 5
- 1 day to read and revise unit 5
- 1 day for Eco survey and budget

2) Polity - you need 5 days
- 1 day to revise unit 1 and 2 [preferably do it at the end]
- 1.5 days for unit 3 [1st day - finish executive and judiciary]
- 1 day for unit 4 [legislature]
- 2 days for unit 5 + remaining parts of unit 3

3) Geography - 2 days
- 1 day for easier parts of Indian geography
- 1 day for the tougher part

4) Environment - 5 days
- 2 days for biodiversity reading + revision
- 1 day for unit 1 and 2
- 1 day for unit 3 and 4
- an extra day to complete any left out

5) History - 7 days
- 3 days to read compass - later decide how much to read from A, M, and A&C
- 1 day each for 3 units of modern history spectrum + class notes
- 1 day for the last few chapters of spectrum + class notes

6) Science and Tech - 3 days
- 1 day for unit 1
- 1 day for unit 2
- 1 day for revision + thematic + analysis

7) International Relations - 4 days
- 2 days for FOCUS
- 1 day for reading class notes
- 1 day for thematic and analysis + some other test

In total, I have planned for 27 days. 3 days buffer must not be taken for granted. If you necessarily need time, you can spend it on polity/ geography/ environment.

Essay : Be the change you want to see in others - Gandhiji [2013 paper]

One of the sayings of the father of our nation which he lived in spirit and practice was - “Be the change that you want to see in others”. To completely understand, appreciate, and practice the philosophy conveyed by the above saying, we also need to understand the context in which it was made. Gandhiji was a practicing lawyer in South Africa where his activism and practice of law became the base on which he led  the freedom movement in India. Once he attended a Church prayer service in the country, after which many people of the Church remarked to him that - “The world has to change for us to change”. To which he retaliated with the above golden words which went onto become a philosophy not only behind his movements but largely the freedom movement of our nation. With the above words, he urged people to be more responsible for their actions, be more interlinked with the society, take initiative to stand up for the truth, and against any evil. The philosophy behind the saying is...
